Jenks and Cattell Engineering was formed in 1886 and is one of the longest established metal stamping, laser fabrication and welding companies in the UK, with a skilled workforce of over 100 people.
We have a wealth of manufacturing expertise, with a reputation for consistently producing high quality general and technical metal pressing, welded assembly and laser cut metal parts and fabrications from our 10,000 sqm large UK manufacturing base in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.
A complete sheet metal manufacturing service is provided, from laser cutting prototypes for development, right through to production of a complete fabrication or metal assembly, including any surface finishing requirements.
Amongst contacts to assist in the establishing of strong local links is new purchasing assistant Laura Nicholls, who has joined as a Purchasing Assistant, which is a new job creation role for Jenks & Cattell Engineering Ltd following our recent employment boost to support the growing business.
Laura will assist our sales, production, estimating, engineering and quality teams to ensure our supply base is performing efficiently across the whole business from a cost, service and quality point of view with her various automotive and engineering purchasing experience bringing an abundance of knowledge to boost our workforce.
Speaking of taking her new role, Laura said: “I am starting my 3rd week here, and I already feel part of the Jenks family and I look forward to using my purchasing experience to help the business with their cost saving initiative. Supplier quality, lead time and price are the most vital points to consider, and I will work on all 3 to improve our relationship with suppliers. I’m really looking forward to working with everyone at Jenks."
